Insight scanning is an advanced technology that shows visually the impact of stress or trauma.
What is Insight Technology?
Insight is a digital, non-invasive & painless test consisting of thermal, surface electromyology (SEMG), and heart rate variability (HRV).
The benefits of Insight scanning technology
The benefits of insight scanning are detecting and pinpointing abnormal functions which cannot be seen on X-ray and are typically not presented as pain until the damage is advanced, like many other health issues. The scan shows stress on your nervous system, which could indicate subluxation, and how it’s affecting your nervous system (organs, glands, muscles & energy).
How does Insight Technology compliment my chiropractic care?
An insight scan can show you and the doctor how chiropractic care can help you.
What does an Insight scan feel like?
The scan is pleasant. The scan does not involve needles, electric shocks, or heat and people generally just feel the doctor touching their spine/back. It is completely safe for infants, pregnant moms, and everyone else. There is no radiation of any kind, so patients should have no reservations about the scan being performed on them.
Types of Scanning Involved:
Thermal Scan:
The scanner measures the temperature on both sides of your spine. Skin temperature is controlled by your autonomic nervous system, which handles functions you don’t consciously control (heart rate, breathing, organ function, etc. Johns Hopkins University studies indicated that the skin temperature on both sides of your spine should be equal. Differences in temperature from one side to the other could indicate stress on your autonomic nerves, which could also indicate a subluxation of your spine. The Insight scan can show the severity and affected organs and muscles that may be affected.
Surface Electromyograph (SEMG):
A SEMG measures how your motor nerves are functioning. Motor nerves are the part of your system that controls muscles & movement. When your muscles contract, there is electrical activity to operate them. The more your muscles are triggered, the more electrical activity the scan will sense. We measure your amount of muscle use (spasms or weakness) which could indicate subluxation or stress on your nervous system.
Muscle Balance (Symmetry):

A disturbance in your nervous system function causes an abnormal balance of muscle use on either side of your spine. They can be weak or tight battling with each other to maintain balance. This struggle can cause subluxation and a variety of other symptoms. SEMG measures this disturbance.
Heart Rate Variability (HRV):
General stress and subluxations can affect the balance of your autonomic nervous system and your adaptability. Heart Rate Variability (HRV) testing analyzes the total effects of stress and anxiety. Heart Rate Variability (HRV) could be improved with chiropractic care.
Chiropractic is now high-tech!
Dr. Britton Bronson believes in a full and detailed assessment of a patient’s health and well-being before treatment. The Insight Scanning Technology is an expensive investment on our part, which we offer to every patient at no cost. Our patients can now benefit from a non-invasive technology that will show visually your initial state of nerve interference and the progress with care.
Dr. Bronson uses Insight technology to help measure subluxations (nerve interference along the spine). Nerve interference disturbs the muscles’ normal nerve function, causing abnormal electrical activity in your muscles that can create other health problems. The scanner measures the electrical activity and charts, like in the picture above, and helps the doctor with increased accuracy in diagnosis, treatment, and can improve outcomes.
